MeePBX is a service of Kuvop, LLC, a New York limited liability company. MeePBX gives each customer their own private server for their phone system. This page says what we keep, where it lives, and who else touches it.
Your people, phone numbers, call history, voicemails, recordings, greetings and settings live on your own server, not shared with other customers. Your phone company login (for example Skyetel) is stored there encrypted.
Voicemail emails: if your phone system has no mail server of its own, each voicemail email (with its recording) passes through our servers and Resend on its way to you. We don't keep a copy.
Each night your server makes an encrypted backup. We copy that backup to our control server and keep the last 14, so we can bring your phone system back if its server is lost. We hold the key to those backups, which means we could read them; we only open one to restore your phone system or when you ask us to.
| Service | What for | What they get |
|---|---|---|
| DigitalOcean | Runs the servers | Everything on your server, stored on their hardware |
| Cloudflare | Your web address (DNS) | Your phone system's address and its server's IP |
| Stripe | Payments | Your email, card and billing address |
| Sign-in | That you signed in to MeePBX | |
| Resend | Our emails to you, and voicemail emails | Your email address and the message, including voicemail recordings |
| Fish Audio | Spoken greetings and prompts | The text of greetings you type |
| GitHub | Tracking problem reports | The report text and your email |
| Your phone company (e.g. Skyetel) | Your calls and numbers | Your calls, under your own account with them |
We don't sell your data, show ads, or use your calls to train anything.
When you delete a phone system, its server is destroyed at once. Our backup copies of it are deleted within 30 days. To have your account record removed too, email support@meepbx.com.
